so much about software development is a pathetic joke. even before we talk about the nuances of the dx of programming languages, sdks, concurrency, etc., there are all the environment problems. if i were rich, i'd run an institute that built the right (less wrong at least) way to do things, and do them easily, so it can be the default instead of some special unique unicorn butterfly snowball in hell thing.
installing tools with curl|sh.
using any mainstream javascript package management system.
using any python manager other than uv.
not using containers/vms for everything to (1) slightly improve security (2) avoid, "well! huff! it works (only) on MY machine!"
