Do we actually have any great solutions? Especially if static types
are involved?
Subclassing sucks. Wrappering sucks. Delegation sucks. Crazy higher
order complex static type methodologies suck. Most of it sucks
because of how we are limited to 2D ASCII files, but a lot of it sucks
also just inherently because it is a hard problem.
Do we even just at least have a list of "least bad"? Like, if one is
writing a compiler: maybe oo polymorphism can work. Or inheritance can
actually work. Or maybe the visitor pattern. Or if one is doing UI,
originally we all thought OOP was the way, but didn't that kind of
fail over time?
Basically: complexity is hard.
