There are so many indictments of our software development process.
Some are from laziness. Some are from history. Some are because
halting problem.
One that kills me is that we have to pretend that version #s somehow
mean anything other than "it is different". (Oh and that is even a lie
because there are plenty of times when a different "thing" gets pushed
but reuses some old version #.)
The fact that we cannot statically or automatically get a list of what
the differences are is really sad.
