Pretty much all code quickly becomes write-only.

As in, just walls of text.

The semantics of which, the correct mental model(s) of which, are
bleedin' hard to reconstruct.

I find React to be particularly prone to that.

It is annoying we can't encode semantics at all, really.

I still benefit from reading code, even in very large projects. Often I peek under an API to look at implementation details when trying to understand the meaning of arguments or the approach to mt-safety.

But I also like to understand code by running it in a sandbox, by systematic sampling and graphing, etc.. I'd really like a language that makes this easier.
