i was never happy with how bad ascii based programming went, but these days with all the abstractions, libraries, frameworks, layers, and indirection, i find myself ever more knee jerk mentally checking out, repulsed by the ever expanding complexity.

oh i have LOTS of good star trek coding ideas if AI ever gets that good at listening to me & creating what i'm talking about.
