Hi,
I have developed a Palm OS application that is used to collect data
from various sources. It not only allows to input data but also
generates and displays a number of reports. To this point every thing
is ok. The next thing that i want to do is to print these reports
directly from my palm OS application using portable printer like
Brother MW-100. This arises the question how can i programmatically
print from within my application? Or how can i programmatically print
from a Palm OS (V 4.0 or above) enabled PDA? Is there any API call that
i need to make from my code? Thank you for your help.

sarshah.

Thank you for your response. I will be connecting through either USB or
IrDA.

Thanks,
sarshah.

I don't think you can connect via USB - the Palm is not a USB Host (last I
heard).

That leaves IrDA - check out the IR Library in the Palm documentation.

Hi,
I have gone through palm IR library documentation. I can individually
understand various APIs but it does not make much sense to me as to how
they can be used for printing via IR. Can you please provide me with
further guidance? If there is some sample code for printing via IR is
available or some online tutorial then it would be great.

Thanks,
sarshah.

Sorry, I don't have such code. Last time I printed from a handheld it was
using RS232. I would think you would find something on IrDA using a web
search.

Thanks. I already tried the web search but it was a casual one. I guess
i need to search more rigorously.
