Below is the information regarding the ministry Younglives. I ask that you prayerfully find ways to get plugged into your community. Younglives has a special place in my heart and I'd love nothing more than to serve along side you! Attached are the dates so you can see the level of commitment.

YoungLives :: help needed

Good afternoon committee,

I wanted to pass on the areas that we are in need of help for YoungLives.
If you could pass this on to anyone you have in your contact list, we would GREATLY appreciate your help in making a roster of those interested in serving.

1-Our greatest need would be for what we call "Mentor Moms," that are empty nesters or soon to be empty nesters. We even would love ladies that are not married and/or do not have kids too (no you don't have to be a mom to be a mentor). Here is a tid bit about what the requirements are for Mentor Moms.

*We meet for club & campaigners 2x/month typically on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday. We meet for campaigners on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 4:30-6 and for club on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4:30-7:30. We like to pick up girls and ride with them to club too.

*Occasionally we'll do a fun extra event like we went to a Trunk or Treat in October & had a Christmas party in December - all things they can bring their babies to!

*We also eat lunch with the girls on Thursdays at the school from about 12:10-1:45. We coordinate to make sure 3-4 mentor moms are there each week...so we each typically go 2 times a month, or more if we want.

2-CHILDCARE 1-2x/month. Typically this is a 2 hour commitment from 6-8. We meet at Park Cities Baptist Church one Wednesday a month and then sporadically for events like Thanksgiving, Christmas, end of year parties, etc.

3-TREATS and/or MEALS: we periodically need help with special events for the girls and their babies. This would be on an as needed basis.


Would love to have anyone join us in serving! Since this is our 2nd semester we're having more and more girls (&babies) coming to events and will continue to need more mentors and volunteers. If you can send us email addresses of anyone who may be interested we can be in touch with them about ways to serve!
