Hi..Looking to purchase first sailplane which is a D model. My understanding is that a time out inspection is due at 6000 hours. Is there a 3000 hour inspection?

Hi, this is incorrect. 

The old 15 yr / 5 yr intervals have been canceled. 

According to the EASA SAS the first inspection in the D model is 10.000 hrs and max lifetime is 65.000 hrs:)

But this is valid at least in Europe (should be). Good to check from your own CAA.
