The owner of the other PIK20 on the field lost a lot of weight when undergoing cancer treatment last year.  Now that the treatments are over he's gained back a lot of weight.  One of the unfortunate side effects of his treatment was that his muscles atrophied because he ended up sitting around so much and as we all know you need the use of your arms to extricate yourself from the ship.  It doesn't help that he's 75 years old.

My question is this; does anyone know of an airbag or other means of raising yourself up in the seat to where you can more easily get your arms on the sides of the ship for support.  The youngest of our usual flying crowd is 65 +/- years old and we've joked about wearing a harness and using a portable engine hoist to lift ourselves out of our ships at the end of a flight.  At 73 it's getting harder for me to exit my ship also.

I doubt there is anything available but if I don't ask I won't know.

Thanks,
Keith
