Hi Guys,
I agree with Thomas.
This Project took us many hours of time and many money.
Me it took about 2000€ for moulds. And my part of money for the certification.
And I worked hundreds of hours on the prototypes and the moulds.
Therefore I´m not a producer I won´t see any of this money back.
There are questions from diffend parts of the worlds about the datas for the solution.
And due to how it is asked we see what the intentions of some of these guys are.
For Information:
Fitting Winglets on an LS3 with DG in Germany: 8600€ in the moment.
I do not expect that it will be as expensive on the 20E.
But I told you to manufacture a set with changing the papers and fitting them on the wing
will take about 50 work hours. And if you ask a commercial workshop you can imagine
in which region a set is to be manufactured.
I´m only a craftsman. If I´m told what to manufacture I´m stubborn enough to find a solution how to do.
And I annoyed people who have a good knowlegde about winglets and how to make the layout.
One of the consequences was to change the profile and the size.
Thomas is engineer. Worked for large european manufacturers until his retirement.
And so he had the know how to do a certification and was stubborn enought to annoy the EASA.
We expect there will be a manufacturer for the set in the future.
But the procedure will be to inform Thomas about registration and SN before.
He is the STC holder of this Winglet.
Best Regards
