Has anyone explored putting zigzag turbulator tape on a PIK20 wing?  Is it wise?

My PIK 20D had the zigzag turbulator tape on it when I bought it, and I have left it on. I really have no idea if it has any effect, or if it is applied in the correct position on the wing. Can supply photos after the coming weekend when I go to the gliderport.

Ok. just kidding.

For best performance you need the sealing band between the flaperons and the wind aft spar area.
In addition I have also Mylar tape instead of the fabric tape on upper and lower wing. Also on rudder and elevator.
On the lower side of the wing it is worthy to put a turbolator tape in front of the mylar.
In the moment I have no exact position in my head. Lasts years on my glider...
But it improves the effectiveness of the ailerons. But no effect on glide ratio.

If you have some trouble with whistling nois in high altitude during high spped:
expect it is the canopy frame in the head area. Seal this from canopy side with mylar.
And sometime it helps to put some turbolator tape in front of the mylar in the head area.

To wake up an old thread. I had upgraded an Astir Standard 2 with tabulators on under surface and it had a massive effect on glide ratio (about +1-1.5 points), however the astir has a very curved underside compared to the PIK profile.

Does any one have the precise placement for turbolators on underside  - the Pik wing seems almost flat
