Iupdate my Probook 4530s having windows 10 ( 64 bit ) to latest update of windows 10. But after update, I am feeling sound volume has lower significantly. Currently at 100 % volume; sound feels average. More over, I though when I had windows 7, I had dolby audio as well. So my question is ..from where can I download Dolby audio driver for my probook ( windows 10 - 64 bit )
I'm using an Acer Aspire V5-571G laptop and I just today upgraded it to Windows 10. I need to download Dolby software (near the power putton, it says "Dolby Advanced Audio Virtual SurroundSound", so I'm thinking I have get Dolby Advanced Audio). I'm having trouble finding a good place to download it from, though, so could somebody help me? Thanks in advance.
The only driver that ever worked properly with Dolby was the driver for The V5-552G on windows 8 (not 8.1) This will work on your computer even if different model... the new driver on the Acer site for winodws 10 has not work either. So the one Im using is: Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6878_W8x64_A
6.If you dont get the "Install PCEE" error, restart and you should be able to enjoy dolby (when its not acting up). If you get the error then you may have not followed the instructions properly. Go back to step 1
I checked and saw that I have Dolby Advanced Audio v2 already on my machine. If this is the latest version, then I guess I don't need to do anything, but I'm going to check and see if there's a newer version available.
I have a V5-571P with the same issue. Dolby advanced audio is installed on Windows 10, tool is open when the laptop is on, but does not work or has any effect on the sound. My laptop was eligible for a Windows 10 upgrade but neither I can see it in the Acer online list.
I did download the 6.0.1.6878 driver and install the Dolby tool without any errors... still doesn't do anything. I'll have to calm down and try the instructions again carefully! Thanks anyway. I'll let you know if it will work the second time.
I think I'm fine now, as there don't seem to be any new versions for my Audio Driver that would be good for my laptop (if Windows also looking at those for Aspire V5-572G to verify that, which it probably is).
There is a Win 10 driver available from the 552G in the dropdown bar. Just download it, extract (I like to extract to an external to avoid bloating my PC with files this size, and that way it's always available if your pc takes a dump), and launch the executable. Worked with my V5-571P. Requires two restarts.
I yesterday installed Windows 10 over 8.1 on my V5-571 Aspire laptop. What problems are there with the audio, I don't seem to have any (driver is Realtek High Definition Audio version 6.0.1.6690) and I am not sure whether I need to upgrade my driver, the Dolby tool does seem to be working (right clicking the system tray icon and clicking ON) but it does sound more fuzzy than it did in Windows 8.1.
My Acer V3-551 had the same problem after the Win 10 Anniversary update, and I received a Windows error message to uninstall Dolby Home Theater, which I did - but then Windows ignored the 'gap', so I have searched for a solution.
Just coming here again as I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 on my Aspire V5-571 and I am now having the issue where when I install the available Realtek drivers for this laptop model (Windows 8.1 drivers), the driver updates fine but there is no Dolby selector in the system tray.
I have followed some of the info on this thread about installing the DolbyAdvancedAudio.MSI file manually, and this does indeed install the software and includes the Dolby Advanced Audio into the system tray - but unlike before on my Windows 8.1 (and Windows 10 update) installation, it now does nothing when switched on.
However, I have found a workaround - if you enable it in the Windows audio properties page, it works as it should (right click speaker icon > playback devices > double click on 'speakers' > Dolby > press the blue power icon) This will enable the Dolby Advanced Audio as before
For Francis1 - I am running a later version on my V3-771 - which works fine - so you may want to try that, Dolby Home Theater v4, 7.2.8000.17 ? Been working several months and quite stable, with an icon on the desktop - but NOT in the system tray, as others have noted.
Amazon has sold me a used laptop instead of a new one ?. I ordered the device on US Amazon with the delivery to Germany, and their support doesn't guarantee a full refund, including VAT and return shipping costs. While I am still thinking of what to do with it, I decided to reset the Windows to get access to the system. The previous owner not only left the OS locked before shipping it back to Amazon, but downgraded it to Windows 10 ?. Wifi drivers from Corsair's website don't support it. Therefore, I had to remove everything from SSD and install Windows 11 from scratch.
1. WiFi is as expected and should be way faster than 10Mbit/s, please try the driver from the download page first and maybe update after that, but newer isn't always better. is your router WiFi6 capable?
5. Please download "Voyager Hub" from the Microsoft Store - this is needed to show the cooling fan tab in iCue. If it doesn't show up, only way I solved this problem is to reset windows again and do it again. - if you can switch between the settings (silent/balance/intense), this is all you get.
@klehriker, thanks for your assistance - I have resolved all my issues, including the fans hub in iCue and wifi speed. Regarding the latter one, it appears the laptop is susceptible to the quality of signal - in case the mobile router is located 3 meters from it and behind the thin wall, the speed drastically decreases to single-digits Mbit/s. But in close proximity to the router, it's showing a reasonably respectable 70-100 Mbit/s. I assume it's not a driver-related issue but something with an antenna, perhaps?
Just yesterday i installed the latest update of dolby home theater by my driverscanner. Since then, every time i open my windows the following message shows up: " The current dolby audio driver version is 7.2.8000.13 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.6. please install a valid driver and software application combination". I have no audio on my .mp3 .avi .mkv. etc files, yet the sound works perfectly on my videogames and on my browsers like youtube etc.
Of course optical can deal with more than just stereo... I've been using optical for many years with various setups (either PC -> optical -> sound system directly, or my current setup, which is PC -> HDMI -> TV (set to passthrough) -> optical -> sound system) and it's always been real 5.1 surround sound. And I'm not mixing things up with Pro Logic 2 here. DTS/Dolby has always been my go-to for gaming and of course 99% of games support that...
If that won't do (i.e. you'll get an error message saying that this format isn't supported by your device), re-run the setup and try DS1 instead of PCCE4, but according to the internet, don't try both at the same time. PCCE4 worked for me though.
Noticed the same thing with 6800. About month ago I bought nice 5.1 setup from logitech, and I wasted couple of days to make it work. I have ended up just using 5.1 via jacks without dolby... It only works in netflix.
I was chatting with the AMD support as well. First thing they got back to me with was this. Unfortunately this wasn't helpful at all (besides, my TV doesn't have earc, only arc). Then they said they have no idea, maybe the 6000 series is just too new and I should wait for Microsoft to release an update. Which I find pretty unlikely to be a solution to this problem.
But just so you know. You dont need Dolby Atmos active in the Sound Propertys to Bitstream Dolby Atmos to the Reciver.
Just try it out. Play one of the Atmos Vids in the Dolby Access App. It will say that Atmos is Disabled, but the Reciver will still get Atmos.
Atleast its that way with mine. I use "APO Driver" to enable "Dolby Atmos Speaker System for Gaming" on the HDMI Audio Output so that I get proper, in OS, Stereo to 5.1 Upmix. But this hinders me from Enableing The Atmos Output Format. But the ATMOS LED on my AV Receaver still activates when i play Atmos Content.
What exactly is your setup and how did you hook it up? I would be interested in getting the Apo drivers running and I appreciate your help, but if installing those drivers would still mean it's just a stereo upmix, it wouldn't get me any further. I'm already getting a stereo upmix, but that's no surround sound.
You're right, when I watch the demo videos, my sound system indicates Dolby Digital even though the app says otherwise. I already noticed that. But it doesn't work anywhere outside the DA app. I'm definitely not getting Dolby or DTS when playing games for example. In that case it's Pro Logic 2 only (not only does my sound system say so, but I can also hear it. It's just a stereo upmix). But when I had the 1080 TI, I was getting real DTS everywhere.
