Hi my name is Joann Reisman. I am beginning a film group. Their LLC
would cover me if someone tried to sue me. What if someone in my
group were to be sued? Should everyone be individually covered? At
this point in time; we are not making any money. We are having our
second meeting to decide on the first screen play and what production
positions people will want to do. I know this will be a successful
endeavor and we will make money. So, I am now wanting to know what to
do WHEN we sign a contractual agreement in which we will make money?
Should I get a group name and does LLC cover that? I put this group
together and continue to keep it running. Does that make me liable
while we are not making money and just filming?

My second question is about insurance. You recommended Fracture Atlas
for E&O and liability. What exactly does that cover? I looked at
their website and became confused about which insurance I needed? I
am not the film maker; I think he needs insurance as well. Do I
need Volunteer Accident Insurance since all the people in my group are
volunteers and the people that act will be volunteers? That is until;
we decide to have a contractual agreement because we are going to
enter it into a film festival and make money. Then, what type of
insurance do I need?

I am new to this industry. I appreciate all the information you can
provide because I want to be protected up front.

Thank you kindly,
Joann Reisman at feisty...@comcast.net
