Hi everyone,

I've moved back to the area temporarily from working in NYC for the past 16 years. And, I'm interested to know more about the various Philly area film and video communities and organizations that serve their members. The extent of my knowledge is this organization (PIVFA) and Scribe.org. So, I need to get reacquainted with Philly.

If anyone can send me suggestions via links to various websites of organizations or community boards, etc. in the Philly area that would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tres

Film is incredibly democratic and accessible, it’s probably the best option if you actually want to change the world, not just re-decorate it.

Hi, Tres, and PIFVA list colleagues:

Here are two upcoming film related events:

Screening of films from www.certaincircuits.org at iMPeRFeCT Gallery in Germantown:
Includes a potluck supper and two musical performances (Horsey + I Have Been Floated)

Silent films and animations from Certain Circuits as part of NeXt party (Sponsored by Drexel University, Flying Kite,  Technically Philly, and the PEC-CDC:)
Party is catered and an open event

This is a great chance to meet fellow filmmakers, and the second event is cross-disciplinary (tech, start ups, entrepreneurs, artists.)  I do hope that everyone can try to make it to one.

We do also take submissions for the site, for future screenings, and for film stills in our annual print volume.

Best,
Bonnie MacAllister

Dear Filmmaker:

Are you able to put together scenes you already have that fit with one, some, or all of my songs?

Please visit www.reverbnation.com/maysoon to listen to my songs. If you are able to put together a music video that will "match" my song(s), please e-mail me to discuss a negotiable payment for your work(s).

Serious inquiries with plans to follow through only.

Thank you.
