Congratulations to our new EnPs!!

On a sad note, the proposed National Land Use Act is formally dead. Ironically, it was buried by our Senators on June 5, World Environment Day. 

Its now our task as EnP's to do our own bit in our communities and LGUs to help them develop and implement a more sustainable use of our finite resources. Lets use the new EnP law to the fullest so we can do our part even if our so-called representatives of the people cannot do otherwise. 

Lets pray as well that as the rainy season comes we will have a less destructive year and deaths which would otherwise would have been lessened with a strategic land use law in place.

I'm worried on the board qualifier next year since in Cebu no course in Urban and Regional Planning or Environmental Planning had been offered. what we had in UP-Cebu is only Environmental Management. Based on the new law all allied courses can only take the exam after 5 years upon the effectivity of the law. We expect that those who will qualify for next year's board exam will come from Manila and other provinces with Environmental and Urban Planning courses offered. Can we asked PIEP Board enlighten us particularly in Cebu and Visayas maybe..
