Bike-to-Work-Day - Piedmont Energizer Station

Tim and I have exchanged some emails about a Piedmont Energizer
station for the 2009 BTWD. Energizer stations typically provide a
musette with some bike-related goodies, coupons, and swag. Often there
are some snacks, coffee, lemonade, etc.at the table. Tim has already
approached Mulberrys about being one of the station sponsors.

My location suggestion is the intersection of Linda and Grand Avenues
and it would be morning-only. That way we catch commuters heading down
Grand toward downtown Oakland, as well as commuters who head up
through the 40th/41st street corridor toward MacArthur and Rockridge
BART or Emeryville.

Any thoughts on this idea? Additional sponsor suggestions? Would you
be willing to stand at the table for 45 minutes on May 14th in the
morning?

What about Ace again? I mentioend to Art that he coudl use a bike rack out front and he was OK with that. I've been meaning to contact chester about installing one fr BTWD.
