Well, this took forever (I think, 5 years), but the PiDP-10 is very, very close to being finished. Today, the case design was approved for producing the injection mold. So this will be my new kit in - I hope, about - September.

Here is the last prototype before the mold is being made. This "Serial #1" was actually produced through CNC cutting the 3D model out of solid plastic.

Isn't she pretty? I could not resist posting off-topic to show off the new baby in the family! Yes, 36 bits is 24 bits more than you really need, but - look at her :)

Kind regards,

Oscar.

It will need some decorating...

Awesome!
Will this be an exact size or a scaled down unit?

It is absolutely, fantastically awesome!!

Looking so much forward to build this beast, and explore some ‘60s mainframe computing.
I already own the PiDP-8 and would love to add the PiDP-10 next to it.

Looking forward to launch date ;-)

Greeting from Mogens

Excellent!

Is there still a valid hobbyist license for TOPS-10? Would it work?

Will this thingy be shipped in one piece? I don't think this would be a standard parcel anymore?

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up! Can't wait!

I haven't been following this group since I wrote E8 and Lisp a few years back.  I worked on a 10 running ITS at MIT AI back in the 70s, and I can't wait to get my hands on the PiDP-10 kit.  Looks amazing.

Hi Bill!

Welcome back.  I still use E8, and am glad you wrote it!

E8 is the one familiar rock onto which I can cling as I learn PDP-8.
