Hi Everybody!

Earlier today, I successfully loaded OS/8 from the RK/05 disk image and accessed it via ssh from my windows machine. Yay! Blackjack without random numbers isn't very fun...

Now after playing a bit with loading assembly language programs from the front panel, even after power cycling the Pi, it hangs on 'loading OS/8"

On the front panel, program counter and memory address are all flickeringly lit, while memory buffer constantly shows 7675. And, Fetch, Execute and Run are on steady while most of the other operation lights are on flickeringly. Toggling stop does nothing.

I think I may be a bit lost here. Can anyone offer some guidance as to what I may have screwed up?

Thanks

How did you shut down OS/8 and Simh?  A power off may have corrupted your SD card if something was cached and not written out.  Hard to say what's wrong from my end.  I do not run OS/8.  Can you start Simh manually after you ssh in?
This would prove that Simh is still working.  If you can run Simh you can find the small boot script it uses and enter each line manually and see if it works.  When you get to the actual boot step you may get an error that would tell you more.
Others may have better suggestions for you. Are you familiar with the 8 and OS/8?  If you you could toggle in an AC count program to Simh and see if it counts on the lights.
