Hello and thank you for accepting me on the blog. I am French and a fan of retrocomputing, as well as vice-president of Museereplay (www.Museereplay.com😉. I am starting to design a PDP-8 without using a kit! I am looking for the reference of the diodes. I think there are 27! Thank you for your help.

Franck,
Welcome to the group. Glad to have another retrocomputing enthusiast.

According to the thread: https://groups.google.com/g/pidp-8/c/AoU0LCh2mdA/m/_RO1HQ6yBwAJ he used IN4004 diodes.

Best,

Hmm that doesn’t sound correct as 1N400x families are all rectifier diodes of different wattage - typically used in power and protection applications.

1N914 and 1N4848 was high speed switching  diodes (low current) and what most logic designers like Oscar uses for the switching and scanning of things like the front panel.

I can verify that the diodes on all of my PiDPs and my PDP-6 blinkenlights panels are 1N4848 or 1N914

Again. Internet search is your friend and data sheets for all of them are easy to find

Sent from a handheld expect more typos than usual

do an internet search for:  1n914 datasheet or 1n4848 datasheet
You should be able to find many

Yes, 1N4148. But the diodes have minimal requirements in this schematic, most anything that says Diode will probably do a good job.

Oh - you can find the schematic and Kicad project files in the Google Group's history if you want, or I can send them to you.

Kind regards,

Oscar.
