Sing_Step selection of OS fails

After making no changes for some time, I have come back to the PIDP8I and found that the selection of a new OS using the IF and Sing_Step switches no longer works for me. Toggling Sing_Step just acts as a "Stop", and I can "Cont" to resume the current OS. Any suggestions of what to look for? I have tried restarting everything, without any impact.

It's probably a separate question, but how can I TOTALLY remove the current PIDP8I software build from the RPi ao that I can be sure I am starting with a fresh build and no hang-overs from an earlier build/release? There seem to be files all over the place, but I don't know if there is a clean "uninstall" command or procedure.

I can confirm this behavior. Would love a fix if possible, or instructions about what I am doing wrong.
