Patch 495 is out, which fix some cpp functionality that was missing, and
some bugfix to dd.
Patch 496 is out, which fixes the bug in cc with unsigned long right
shifts, and some other issues. Kernel arp table processing should now
work right again.

Is there a 2.11 BSD source tree patched to some definitive, hopefully not too-terribly-out-of-date level?  If so, could someone point me at it?

I was on 490.  491 applied fine.  492...did not, and in attempting to reverse it I've made a mess of things.

Adam,

If you start clean with Chase Covello's image at patch level 482, you should be able to apply all the remaining patches in order without any trouble. I haven't applied Johnny's last couple of patches yet, but I did apply all the previous ones with no errors.

Remember to recompile both, kernel and userspace.

If you get stuck, please let me know and I'll try to help.

Best,

Flavio Villanustre

There's an issue with the Covello 482 image where the 482 patch was applied but not all of the follow-up steps were performed. For example, /etc/disktab was not updated.

This could cause future problems if a patch depends on something having been updated that wasn't.
