going through the tcp setup routines on the jbq rsx image results in:

AT.T0  -- Bad range or default specification
.ift ask .askn [minn:maxn:'VAR'] 'VAR' 'Q'
.ift ASK .askn [MINN:MAXN:$BCIF] $BCIF Interface for broadcast

i ran the routine a few times to sanity check the inputs, nothing works for me. fair enough, i thought i would try to mount the decus DU1: image, it shows attached to rq1 in simh, but MOU DU1: says MOU - unit offline.

I was made aware of that bug a few days ago. I can’t create a new image until mid August, but the tcpip package have been updated. If you can manage to get that updated then see if that solves it.

As for the device offline - did booting finish or did it abort? Generally devices should have been brought online as a part of the boot process. But you could check with CON if it’s offline as well as bringing it online.

ah, i see now. answering no at the tcp/ip setup script allows the system to boot fully. otherwise, nothing worked after the script failure. my next challenge was to run dungeon, which i can mount and copy, and running it says f7sres not loaded. rsx11m seems very user hostile haha.

11M or 11M+? My image is about 11M+, and believe me, it's much
friendlier than 11M.

But you were a bit unfortunate in that I accidentally seems to have
created a version with a broken bit of the TCP/IP configuration script.
And I can't really fix this for another few weeks.

As for DUNGEON, I would recommend you install that via RPM, so that you
get such dependencies managed as well.

Otherwise you'll need to learn and understand more about the system and
layered products.
