I think there was an old thread about this.
Does anyone else continue to encounter problems where the PiDP-11 front panel display freezes, but in all other respects the PiDP-11 and Raspberry Pi continue to work properly?

After running RSX11 flawlessly for 71 days; on day 72 I found the LED display frozen; multiple LEDs lit, at normal brighness, as if I'd somehow paused the PiDP-11.
When I checked the state of the machine I found the Raspbery Pi still responsive to VNC and SSH requests; and RSX11 still allive and well (the client11 process). Raspian showed server11 was still running as well.

Its odd, doesn't represent a hugh problem for me; just thought I should mention that there remains a flaw somewhere in there.

Mine freezes very rarely even running just Blinky -- just like yours, my Pi remains responsive, and everything inside looks healthy and fine, yet the LEDs just freeze... Last time happened just last night, after many many days of continuous run...  So I don't think it has something to do with the particular guest OS

Yeah, same here. Seems entirely random.

It'll run for days, or months .. then it'll freeze. I restart the emulator and things are usually OK. Other times it works for a minute and freezes again; then I reboot the Pi.

It describes a patch to historybuffer.c in the server11 code.
I have this patch in place and behavior is much improved; but there appears to be some other issue that causes an infrequently freeze.

Funny you guys should mention this problem.
I read the email and looked over and sure enough it was frozen.
The rotary switches still seem to be working as I can change the display
options and see the leds by the switches change, but the
data/status/address leds are frozen. I had previously applied the
recommended patch (something to do with locking) and that did help a
lot. This has been running fine for months. Probably time for an update
and reboot anyway!.
cheers
