Raspberrian PiDP terminal icons

Newby here, in the midst of setting up my new PiDP-11/70&Pi5 with latest os and emulator kit. Been a long time since I used one. Had a series of qbus machines, then worked at a software house with an 11/70 and a bunch of vaxen. After half a century the memories area touch hazy.

Built my config using method 2, latest 64 bit os, downloaded and installed the latest simh kit. Am using PiConnect to access the '70. One thing that eludes me is the frequent mention of terminal emulations being setup on the linux desktop. Not happening. And no success in locating the setup scripts.... 

Suspect I am missing something obvious, but would appreciate some direction.
