So fwiw - resolved the issue by adding an entry to LB:[1,2]HOSTS but
was wondering about a more elegant / longer term solution

Run "rpm config" and change the host to mim.stupi.net
After that you should be back in business.

(For all other questions, just hit enter. The defaults are when you
currently have. Or you can change anything else you want as well...)

Nothing happened to Mim beyond the fact that the machine moved, which
have been mentioned.

Mim.Update.UU.SE have been a CNAME for a while, pointing to Mim.Stupi.NET.

But now it seems Mim.Update.UU.SE went away. :-(

rpm config

Give a DECnet node address as the source address.
Use the suggested default for remote directory, and the rest you can
configure as you like.

?? What do you mean fail? What error are you getting.

Also, see my prepped RSX disk image, which already is doing that step,
and a bunch of other things.
