The manual introduces us to :games;mlife
Can anyone describe the set of commands?
Or at least how to exit?

There were more commands, but:

  • SPACE: Advances the simulation by a single generation.
  • G: Starts the simulation, which will run continuously until a halt command is issued.
  • H: Halts the simulation.
  • A: Allows you to add new "living" cells to the grid.
  • R: Resets the simulation, clearing the board of all cells.
  • P: Pauses the simulation and provides information about the current state of the game, such as the generation number and the number of active cells.
  • L: Loads a predefined pattern of cells from a file. You would typically follow this command with a file name.
  • S: Saves the current pattern of cells to a file.
