to PiDP-10
Has anyone tried to pity the PiDP-10 and the PiDP-8i against each other in chess?
What are the bets?
Cheers

I assume you mean "pty" and not "pity" as I have no idea what that would be. Wouldn't you want them to be at least running the same chess code? Don't know if that is even possible as the 8's chess fits in 4k I think?

as both seem to be included in the "default" software distributions that come with the PiDP-10 (under ITS) and PiDP-8i (under OS/8) respectively. The PSP-8i is limited by memory (not sure if it can use the full memory extension of 32k words that the PiDP-8i OS/8 setup offers) but the code is newer (1970s vs 1960s).
