I finished assempling my pido10. I can run the pidp10-test program, and see all the lights and every switch is detected on and off. But when I boot (or pdpcontrol start 0) i do not get any blinking lights, etc.

I know that simh is working, since I was able to pdpcontrol start 0200 and start TOPS-20 and run it successfully...via SSH to my raspi4.

pdpcontrol start 0 returns 0, which seems right.

I am running Ubuntu 24.04 64-bit and didn't expect issues, esp. since the test program sees the front panel LEDs and switches. But not when I am running one of the OSs.

Suggestions?

A possible clue? I reinstalled from scratch, cloning from github. I noticed that duing the install it executes raspi-config for i2c and vnc, which fail!. But raspi-config doesn't exist for Ubuntu. So do I really have to switch to raspi as my linuc OS?

Seems raspi OS is reqjired. Why the install.sh doesn't verify this......??

Lights now run!

If am running the Raspberry PI, and don't get blinky lights automatically.  I have to run the test program directly through the terminal.  In fact, I get no automatic reading of the switches.  Setting them through pdpcontrol start accomplishes nothing, I cannot load TOPS-10, or ITS.   However, the test program I run directly shows every switch working fine, and using ssh connections does not improve the situation.

I read this message to see if I could make some progress with my situation, but there have been no answers.
