Hi,
One thing I was wondering about, why wasn't the PI Compute module CM4 used for the PiDP replicas rather than the standard PI; it woul;d have been much better mechanically and the 2 x 100 pin connectors footprint would have been convenient for the FPGA implementation too.

I realise that the connectors would be the only SMD components on the PCB but, if it was cost effective for the PCB manufacturer to assemble these connectors, it would have been a nice result.
Just a thought

Also there would have to be separate parts for Ethernet, USB, HDMI, etc. The PI SBCs provide all that rather inexpensively.
