I was using an older version of Raspian, and it recently updated to the latest.

I use VNC to connect to the Desktop, well I noticed it locks up now after a short time, 30-60 minutes.   I thoguht something was wrong with the Raspberry Pi 4, but tha3t turns out to not be the case..  I just reloaded an older RPI4 I was using that runs running "Pi-Hole", and isntalled the latest OS on it, and installed Technitium DNS on it, which works fine..  I decided to try the script to install the Remote PDP on it, got it working, and boom, 40 minutes later, the desktop is locked up on it, soo their is some kind of interaction going on with the most recent PI OS..  BTW, Technitium still runs via the web access to it, and I can SSH to it, however, VNC can no longer connect.

Here is the version info on the Linux on the CM 4:

admin@Technitium-DNS-1:~ $ hostnamectl
 Static hostname: Technitium-DNS-1
       Icon name: computer
      Machine ID: aa938001356e44f6a188b36a2867078d
         Boot ID: 2309cb934b7a403ea01b2c0cf02202e9
Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)
          Kernel: Linux 6.18.29+rpt-rpi-v8
    Architecture: arm64
admin@Technitium-DNS-1:~ $

BTW, if I do not run RPDP at all, VNC stays running, and does not crash...

Any ideas?

Solved, found answer here: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=395318

seems to be VNC issues with Trixie, I followed this to fix it.

Re: VNC on Trixie Broken - Again

Although I never use X11, from other tests on this forum, viewtopic.php?t=395192 this was working for me
1. Boot Pi from Trixie card (created by Imager 2.0.3) and use SSH to login, use raspi-config to set X11 on (not Wayland). Reboot
2. Log in via SSH and enable VNC via raspi-config.
3. Connect via VNC Viewer (or TigerVNC) to the Pi
