Good evening all,

What are you folks, doing to remedy the light blead around the Program Data & the memory Data LED ?

I had not noticed....until you mentioned it :-). I'm not going to disassemble my kit to put sonme baffle in place, but maybe I'll try to dim those two light in software a bit. It doesn't bother me too much.

I painted the led black so only about 1/8 inch of the lens was visible.

Is this a problem with all the builds?  Is the LED just not aimed/seated
correctly and no one else has this situation?

I'd think a small amount of black finger nail polish carefully applied
from the 3 o-clock to 9 o'clock position might shield the spill?

I have not go the kit yet but a little black heat string around the LED to make a tube might also help.

True.

There was a comment right after the first batch came out about using
snippets of a black drinking straw as a shield, too.  Oscar commented
back that this wasn't a big problem and to do an initial assembly and
test before completing all the last steps to see if those were really
necessary.

Been following these threads since I put my name in on latest wait list. Hopefully those get put together soon!

Anyway, how about just using a small piece of black heat shrink tubing to shroud the LED?

Have a great Day!

I like the heat shrink tube idea! Perhaps this should be mentioned in the manual as an optional hack.

I put a short length of heat shrink tubing around the LED. Looks much
better. Sorry. Am on the road and can't post picture.
