Very pleased to say my PiDP1 is very nearly complete and working like a charm!

Not without periods of 'What?! How does that fit? What? Really? Mine doesn't look like that!' - some time later - 'Oh, I see - that's clever!'.

Couple of questions if I may:

1. My rack may well get wall mounted eventually.  What have folk done to safely stand the rack on a desktop?  Rails for the bottom to keep it upright?

2. I have the suggested 7" HDMI monitor, but can't imagine how that fits in the speaker panel.   I may not bother, but instead build a type 30 case around a bigger screen?

Huge thanks to all involved in producing the kit - quite brilliant!

(Bloody hopeless at Spacewar it turns out!)

Here's a picture of mine having on the wall in the front room. How long it will stay there once Julie gets up from her sickbed is anyone's guess!

I'm afraid I just prop it up against anything that's handy when it's off the wall.

The batteries for the wireless keyboard are charging up which is why I haven't got round to sorting out the display.

I've got a WaveShare 7" panel which fits it quite nicely, though the thickness of the cables did mean the speaker panel back needs extra standoffs at one end.

I'm also useless at SpaceWar but my grandson, a real Nintendo Switch enthusiast, loves it, especially gravity slingshots around the sun (I sold it to parents as teaching about gravity!)

I don't have easily accessible wall space to hang mine, so came up with the idea of using one of the portable 19in half-height music racks such as often hold multi-channel audio mixers. I found one locally on marketplace for $30 which I had to immediately buy!

Here's my PiDP-1 rack temporarily mounted on the rack. The bonus is it's mobile so I can move it around. Once I finish mounting (I need some rack hardware for the spacers) then I'll run an extension cord (zip tied to the rack base) to my UPS.
