On the Paper Tape Panel (rack kit), there are two small spacers used to separate the two sides of the slot that holds the USB sockets. These are initially taped in place as you build the rest of the reader.

But - I cannot find anything in the instructions as to how to permanently afix them in the final panel. Mine are currently still taped in place, but there must be a more permanent solution.

What have other rack kit builders done?

I fixed mine today as part of overall completion of my HDMI screen project. I just touched the back side of each one with crazy glue so a drop wicked between the small piece and the black insert. Worked like a charm and now the tape is off.
