I updated my DEC Opcodes app to include a simple assembler, so you can enter PDP-1 mnemonics and see the octal codes to tap in. I'd tried to add some sample code too, although it could do with a lot more!

Anyway, it's a free app so please try it out. If you like it, please leave a review or it will never be discovered: the App Store is bad for searching these days.

Sweet! All my machines in one place. Wish it worked on iPads, bigger screen. Also, add the PDP-1D instructions, I use them all the time. Some of the common IOTS would be nice.
But, just nit-picking, nice app! I'll keep it installed.

It should work fine on the iPad, and on Apple Silicon Macs too :-)

I will research the PDP-1D instructions, and IOTs. Would they be classified as "extensions" or..?

It's not showing up in the app store if I look from my iPad, iPad OS 26.3.1, but does from my iPhone.

Never mind, operator error and the poor user intf in the app store. I found it, works fine on the iPad. Life is good.
