It would be nice if the Load Paper Tape Reader program remembered the last folder used to load a RIM file. I would like for my programs to be in a folder in my Home directory and not intermixed with everything is tapes. Small thing but it would save a few clicks every time I change and assemble my source. I would imagine that even back in the 60s each programmer would have a little cubby for their tapes ;-)

Apologies if I've missed something obvious.

The GUI one or the web page one? If the GUI, it has a 'recent' button. Doesn't save dirs or remember the last one, but it does remember the last few files you loaded. That should make the assemble/load cycle easier.

Right, I also remember the file name in the non-web GUI program. Really depends on what interface we're talking about. the file chooser in the non-web interface is a bit simplistic (just a small python/tk script). and i don't recall having problems with the web interface of that type.

Ya the Recent sidebar choice (OS feature) in the GUI works pretty well. Just one extra click.  I tried the Web interface too and it does in fact remember the last folder that you picked from (but I suspect this is a browser feature).

Thanks.

PS It would still be nice not to have to reload a changed file to ASSEMBLE in the Web interface and to see assembly errors in MESSAGES.
