Hi, I spent the last two days with oscar finding bugs in the simulation in an attempt to get expensive typewriter and macro running. After the bug hunt both programs are now working. This means you can edit text with ET, save to tape, assemble with macro, and run the program. The PiDP-1 can now be used for self-hosted PDP-1 hacking!

Reading and punching paper tapes (even if virtual) has quite a different feeling from just cross-assembling. So i can really recommend giving that a try to get a more authentic PDP-1 experience.
We will soon supply some guidance in the documentation of course :)

I witnessed Angelo hacking through a manually disassembled core memory dump, based on mismatched Macro sources and old memos. I just watched, but learned a lot about PDP-1 hacking in the process...
