Here's an impressive bit of lore I learned.. the source for Peter's music program was lost. He just sat down and rewrote it from memory. In assembler, of course.

Incidentally, if you watch carefully you will see a difference between how the actual -1 works and pidp1 works regarding the tape reader. In order for the real reader to read, the reader switch at lower right needs to be on. In the pidp1 emulation, that switch seems to do nothing. The switch turns on the reader feed motor it seems.
