Probably not good enough for regular use yet, but here goes:

Please test and give me feedback. In particular:
1. What version of windows?
2. Anything unusual about your hardware? (e.g. Dual monitors, touchscreen etc)
3. Could you install picty?
4. Could you launch picty?
5. Could you create a new collection?
6. Could you open an existing directory?
7. Could you open an existing collection?
8. Could you close down picty?

From the readme:

SourceForge Hosted Windows Releases of picty

These are experimental releases of picty for windows. The software has not been thoroughly tested, so use at your own risk.

How to install

Download the file picty-NNN-setup.exe, run it and follow the prompts. You can find the program in your start menu.

Before you can run picty, you may also need the windows redistributable found at:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29

What's Broken?

Compared to the linux version a few things are broken (I am working on fixes):

  • Filesystem monitoring (i.e. if you change an image outside picty, you need to manually rescan to update the metadata in the program)

  • Drag and drop to desktop does nothing (on Linux)

  • Missing icons

  • Occasional freezes/hangs

    Launching Gimp (Probably) Doesn't Work

No support for windows associated apps (right click on image in browser should show a list of apps that can open the filetype)
