I have not looked at the Textplus object, but I think that all you need to do is pass the information gathered from the sunlight object and format it into a string that the text objects .text attribute needs to display the info gathered.

Its in red because it is a known Maxscript command. There are many colour coded pieces of maxscript. This signifies an internal function. In the maxscript editor yu can see this if you type (without quotes) Editable_poly or Time or isValidnode and they are all coloured. The red is not an issue, I am looking at the code again. Back soon

Ok, so I saw that I had omitted a line in the version using a text object, but thats immaterial now as I have a version below that will create/use a textplus object. I will leave the formatting of the textplus up to you as there may be properties you need to set with code.

I managed to do it by using TextPlus and going back to 2017 and using the MR Sun. MR Sun exposes Solar time. By using the script option in TextPlus selecting solar time /100 and set the units to time.

Well, I used a sunlight object and a textplus object in the code I put up and I do not have any issue. I thought you had said that you were using a daylight system and assumed it was the sunlight object that is found in the systems tab on the create panel. I cannot explain why the code does not work fo ryo. If you read the code, if you do not have a sunlight object selected, it shows a message box. For the code to work, you need to select a sunlight object then run the code. If you look at the code, it says on line 25 that it is looking for a directional light (which is the class of the sunlight object) so selecting anything other than an object which is a sunlight object will raise the message box.

Open Max, create and animated sunlight camera over 100 frames. Reset to 0f, select the light and run the code below. As I said, I have had no issues on my or other peoples machines when running it in max 2016 or 2018. You can see from the image below the code that I have it working, updating the textplus object and printing the result to the listener.

I have a similar desire to have a piece of Text plus adjust itself to match the time specified through the sun positioner. In 2019, underneath the Parameters: Text box is an option to 'set value as text'. - I have tried this - linking the value to the 'time in seconds' parameter - however - I don't seem to be able to make this format to look like it's telling the time.......I will also give your script a go Malcom - (but was just hoping there might be a simpler way around the problem)

I can get time showing up and have formatted seconds to show as hours - but I can't get it to be base 60 (time formatted) instead of decimal.....my expression is abs(time/60)/60 where 'time' is the time in seconds of the sun positioner as a scalar variable.......

TextPlus, an application that lets groups easily text each other, today announced it has launched textPlus 4 Pics Edition. The new version lets users send and receive picture messages in an effort to make group texting more social and fun.

New photo capabilities include being able to easily text images within both private and public communities. For example, a user who has joined a Boston Celtics group can now share pictures live while at the game. With real photo messaging, users can send, share and save photos one on one and in community settings.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

I spoke with Gogii (pronounced Go-gee) president Zack Norman. He was really excited about the concept of taking text messaging to a visual level. Teens and young adults have chosen the text message as their default form of interpersonal communication.

One only need ride with a teen boy and his girlfriend as they text each other instead of talking. With textPlus 4 Pics Edition (free in the Apple App store) and the front facing camera on the iPhone 4 or new iPod Touch, he said that the flat text message can also have a more automatic visual element as well. We already have Multimedia Messaging System or MMS, but this is different because it is more automatic and works on the iPod Touch, which does not have any message capability built into the device.

For example, I could set up a group of family members adding all of their cell phones whether they use textPlus or not. Then, when youngest son is playing in a soccer game, I can snap pictures of the winning goal he scored and send it out to his mother who is at work, his other brother who is on a date, the grandparents and an online picture sharing site that allows posting images via mobile phone, like Flickr all with just one text. Each of the people in the group can respond and all members will see the message.

There are already a lot of groups in which a user can take part. I found one about my beloved Packers and people recommending iPad apps. I created one about Notebooks.com called NOTEBOOKSCOMREADERS which you can join and discuss this article or anything else related to the site. I am also considering using it to set up a quick blast communication group for our church so that when we have cancellations due to bad weather, everyone will get a text about it.

textPlus 4 is also available on the iPad and Android OS without the newer FaceText feature. All versions of the app will work with the same user accounts and will receive FaceText messages. Only the newest release running on an iPhone 4 or the newest iPod Touch will send pictures too.

There are many VoIP apps on Google Play that let you make free phone calls and send unlimited texts, but most of them only work on smartphones. Fortunately, there are a few that will work on our Nexus 7 tablets, and in this softModder guide, I'll show you how to use my favorite, textPlus.

First, go ahead and install textPlus Free Text + Calls on your Nexus 7 from the Google Play Store. This version is exactly the same as the textPlus Gold version, which costs $1.99, except that there are ads in the app. If you absolutely despise ads, the Gold version might suit you better.

If you try to call or text someone who doesn't have textPlus installed, or not specifically using their textPlus phone number or username, it will cost some money (via an in-app purchase), but you will initially get 5 minutes ($0.10) in free credits to start you off with. There are also offers you can compete to earn credits, but more on that later.

When you first open the application, you'll either need to login or sign up for a textPlus account. To sign up, you'll need to either enter your phone number or email address, so that other people can find you on textPlus.

If you don't have a phone number, and don't want to use your email address for some reason, you can also just create a username. However, if you only create a username, you will not be able to reset the password on your account, should you ever lose it.
