differences between KO definitions

Hello, 

I was comparing the default files of KO definitions from the Picrust2 repositories and the KO definitions from the Kegg webpage and I notice some differences: 

Missing KO's

New KO's

and KO's with different definition between the two files.

There is a manual curation of the KO's in picrust2 or is just not as updated that the kegg version?

It’s just that the KOs in PICRUSt2 are not up to date with the latest KEGG database.
