Dear all, i would like to use Picrust to my samples. But i am working now with qiime 2 and the Otu IDs changes a lot, and i got this error below. Could you please, help me how to solve this problem?
ValueError: No OTUs match identifiers in precalculated file. PICRUSt requires an OTU table reference/closed picked against GreenGenes.
Example of the first 5 OTU ids from your table: 8a82820cc1075421faf42ec4285f23b3, de99ffae202e5db0a737a77f958e2339, 04a75f1199d1bc6b58d19dd8aeb24520, 8292c792c3d223b0b8a4bd170c73a0c1, 611f22c4148835b3347e113a625e4b3f

Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, qiime 2 is not compatible with picrust right now (but it might be soon!). See this question in the qiime 2 forums:

You can still use your qiime 2 data with picrust, but it takes some additional software and some extra steps. This github page explains how to start this process:

For now, the easiest solution would be to pick closed-reference OTUs with qiime 1, then pass them to picrust.

Let me know if that answers your question,
Colin

Hi there Colin, is the Qiime2-PICRUst plugin(?) available yet?

Good morning,

Not yet... The plugin in still empty: https://github.com/gavinmdouglas/q2-picrust

However, you can now perform closed-ref OTU picking in Qiime 2, then use the resulting .biom table as the input for picrust. That's also worth a shot.

Dear Sir,

What is the difference between Qiime2 and Piccrust software? Why we need to export biome table of Qiime2 to Picrust? Can anyone explain me?

Thanks
