Dear Fellow PICPAns, Associates and Friends,
Greetings of peace!
Our 2nd General Membership Meeting would not be successful without the presence and support from you all, most especially to those who attended the event. On behalf of the 2014-2015 PICPA-WR Board of Directors, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for making our event yesterday fruitful and enjoyable one.
Our special thanks to the Consul General Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr., that despite the short notice he was able to grace our event and came on-time. His words and inspiration put a niche to our minds & hearts that we should uphold our profession and serve even if it comes unexpectedly.
The seminar on “Understanding Islamic Finance” gave us fresh and new concepts that indeed “Riba” (interest) is not allowed. Moreover, we were delighted that aside from the Murabaha (the most common – our company is availing this), there are 3 other modes of Islamic financing – Mudarabah, Musharakah & Ijarah. Thank you PP Ben Guerra for sharing your expertise to us.
To our new members and associates, thank you for joining and for sharing your time and smiles with us. It was an awesome feeling that we do have considerable numbers of young, dashing and debonair (sabi nga ni PP Joey) new faces of our chapter. We hope that yesterday was just a start as we take our journey together.
To our CPA Review Lecturers, your effort in sharing your knowledge and expertise is beyond commendable. Thank you for your dedication in continuing the legacy of our mentors and luminaries in this chapter.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the Past Presidents for their undying support. To our Founding President Ben Guerra, PP Nori Guerra, IPP Rommel Pino, PP Ronald Mangua, PP Joey Guhit, PP Raffy Abisamis, PP Ben Consolacion, PP Evelyn Santos, PP Rhic Briones, PP Danny Abenes and Madam Myla and PP Joey Villanueva,, thank you so much Sirs and Madams. To PP Glen and PP Reggie who have not made it yesterday, thank you for sending words to us, you may not be around all the time but we know that we can tap your shoulders and count on whenever needed.
Our deep appreciation to the PICPA members, friends and guests who have honored with us through their presence.
My personal and sincerest thanks to the current BODs who responded my calls and requests even if it entails sacrificing their comforts. Our collective efforts made yesterday’s event a success.
Muli, maraming maraming salamat po at Maligayang Pasko po sa ating lahat!
Sincerely,
Allan T. Zamora, CPA
