Retro speed not recognized in 4.3.2

As far as I can see a change in retro speed is only recognized after a picochess restart

Have you tried to just  restart the engine (selecting it again)?

That was at least sufficient in V3.

Updating rspeed from the web menu most likely requires a restart, but when updating it from the DGT clock menu its probably enough to restart the (mame) engine.

I have not checked all the settings to check if they could be applied immediately, I have mostly worked on correcting things where the new menu sets the wrong setting or otherwise doesnt work.

the settings that I would need to have AI check for me are the following, and it means any of these might not work until restart if you change them from the modernized menu. The new modernized menu does not update the DGT menu state, and that is what is causing these to possibly require a restart at the moment if they are set from the new modernized menu:
