Hi all, apologies if you already know the following - I simply thought it could have been of help:
As far as I understand, Certabo releases their SW code free of charge. I'm aware of the fact that Certabo sells a RPi solution named "Da Vinci". Apparently, the Da Vinci is a customized RPi/Picochess version that runs and connect to their boards, and allows also to play with their wooden boards on chess servers like
chess.com, lichess, FICS.
From their website FAQ:
"Q:Can I receive the source codes of Certabo® software and modify it?"
"A:We would be pleased to give! Certabo® software source codes for PI and PC are available under GPL V3.0 license, this means that as buyer and user of the Certabo® platform you have the right to receive them together with the binary code if you ask for them and do whatever you want but under the same license terms. Our software is freerly available on our github repository"
Additionally, those of us owning a Certabo board, could ask Certabo for the SW code, which could be partially used for picochess? Make sense?
Again, sorry if all of the above is already known to the developers here. Just thought it could be interested and maybe useful to progress in the developement.
Cheers
