Working on Picochess Changes

Hola amigos de Picochess, se está trabajando junto a Johan en varias modificaciones para (sin dejar de lado el menu del reloj DGT3000) poder acceder a un menu más moderno, ordenado, rápido y funcional. Les muestro un ejemplo y espero que les guste !!

Se admiten recomendaciones para que Picochess sea mundial a todos los jugados de ajedrez!.

Guau!!!! Tiene una pinta estupenda Antonio . Parece que esto va cogiendo forma poco a poco . Ya solo queda poder actualizar los motores sin tantos problemas y sin echar tantas horas que creo que ahora es un poco el talón de Aquiles . 

Enhorabuena por vuestro trabajo, los profanos de la programación luchamos contra nuestra ignorancia para seguir desfrutando con nuestros tableros de esta maravilla ajedrecística . 

Ánimo que ya estáis llegando y Feliz Año nuevo .

Gracias!!!    Se ha cambiado que en un solo boton se active o desactive tanto el tutor como el watch.     La pestaña "Scan" del tablero se ha añadido a la pestaña menu para que esté todo más ordenado...   Seguimos trabajando !!!

Thank you! We've changed the system so that a single button activates or deactivates both the tutor and the watch. The "Scan" tab on the dashboard has been added to the menu tab for better organization. We're still working on it!

OK, the branch works pretty well, but needs more testing.

The LOAD GAME picks up the latest game you played. If it was finished with a result it will start autoplay of the game, if it was not finished you can continue playing. So to replay the latest game, just click LOAD GAME.

To test you have to checkout this branch:

And now you can watch your mistakes as listed in the new Tutor tab in real time as you play your game !!

Could be a great way to learn where you lose centipawns...

No me hace la ventana de tutor scroll, no sigue mostrando movimientos del tutor.    Es una buena idea y se ve bien. 

Estaba haciendo un video para mostrar las modificaciones pero ya se me ha quedado antiguo !!

OK, I did not test long enough :-)

... Of course we have to allow ourselves to make a lot of chess move mistakes to learn a lot. I have now added a scroll bar also to the new Tutor tab that lists our  mistakes. Remember that mistakes are not failures, they are learnings :-)

Anyway, in a flow of creativity, I also added a new tab named "Analysis". It looks like the Engine tab, but it presents the server engine thinking. That means that it does not consume any extra CPU and you can compare if you like the Engine tab thinking which is a web client Stockfish implementation against the server thinking. The server thinking is at the moment not updating so fast, but its a start.

Buenos dias,. Antonio el otro día te escribí para contactar contigo en el canal de Youtube porque no se por donde empezar. Yo tengo un modulo DGT Pi, y quisiera tener una pantalla con la Raspberri, y la tarjeta SD con la versión Picochess, pero soy un poco manazas montando y desmontando. Hay pantallas con raspberris ya montadas en las que se pueda instalar una versión de Picochess?  Que modelos hay?. O en caso de que no sea posible, entiendo que tendría que desmontar la raspberri de mi DGT Pi y montarla en una pantalla, no?. Vamos, podrías o podría alguien orientarme o ayudarme?. Muchas gracias

Good morning. There are several ways to do this. Assuming you already have a DGTPi, if you always use it in the same place and on the same Wi-Fi network, you could update your DGTPi with the Picochess v4 image. This creates a web server, allowing you to connect from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Therefore, you wouldn't need to buy or change anything and could continue using Picochess either through the web interface or via the watch's menu, as you do now.  As long as the watch with picochess and tablet (or whatever you were using) were on the same wifi network.
Another option is to buy a touchscreen and a Raspberry Pi and install Picochess, but in that case, the watch wouldn't work. I don't know which board you have, but either way, it would work. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Best regards.

Buenos dias.  Hay varias formas de hacerlo.   Partiendo de que ya tienes un DGTPi,  si siempre estás y lo usas en un sitio y bajo una misma red de wifi, podrías actualizar tu DGTPi con la imagen de Picochess v4. Este crea una servidor web y podrías conectarte desde un ordenador, tablet o smartphone, por lo que no tendrías que comprar nada ni cambiar nada y seguir usando picochess tanto por la web desde donde te conectes o por el menu del reloj como lo haces ahora. Siempre que reloj con picochess y tablet (o lo que usases) estuvieran en la misma red wifi.

También está la opción de comprar una pantalla tactil junto con una raspberry e instalar picochess pero en ese caso el reloj no te serviría. No sé que tablero tienes, pero en ambos casos te serviría igual.   Si tienes más dudas, pregunta sin problema.   Un saludo.

Gracias, por tus sugerencias, pero no me veo capaz de implementarlas.

Utilizo un tablero Millenium Chess con el ChessLink y el DGT Pi conectado. Siempre juego en el mismo sitio y la red wifi seria la misma. Lo maximo que he hecho es copiar las ultimas imagenes en una tarjeta microSD para la DGT Pi. Actualmente utilizo la version 3.4 de PicoChess.

Imagino que no tendre problemas para grabar la ultima version de Pico 4.0 pero me pierdo en luego conectarlo a la misma red wifi del ordenador o tablet. He visto por el foro que hay que introducir una serie de instrucciones por terminal en la imagen que la verdad no creo que sepa utilizarlos. Tengo un Imac,  o una tableta Android.

Respecto de la segunda opcion comprar la pantalla junto con una raspberry, no se que comprar. Si hay pantallas que van con la raspberri incorporadas o que hay que hacer. De todas maneras si pudieras ayudarme yo te abonaria lo que costara una pantalla y una raspberry por adelantado y una tarjeta microSD y me lo instalas cuando tengas tiempo. _Dime como puedo contactar contigo.' Thank you for your suggestions, but I don't think I can implement them. I use a Millenium Chess board with ChessLink and the DGT Pi connected. I always play in the same place and the Wi-Fi network would be the same. The most I've done is copy the latest images to a microSD card for the DGT Pi. Currently, I am using PicoChess version 3.4. I imagine I won't have problems installing the latest Pico 4.0 version, but I get lost when it comes to connecting it to the same Wi-Fi network as my computer or tablet. I've seen on the forum that you have to enter a series of commands in the terminal on the image, which honestly I don't think I know how to do. I have an iMac or an Android tablet. Regarding the second option, buying the screen along with a Raspberry Pi, I don't know what to buy. Whether there are screens that come with the Raspberry built-in or what needs to be done. Anyway, if you could help me, I would pay you in advance for the cost of a screen, a Raspberry Pi, and a microSD card, and you would install it for me.
