Hi everyone,

I have recently set up a Raspberry Pi 5 running PicoChess, connected to my DGT Revelation II (Anniversary Edition).. The offline setup with the internal engines and the board's LEDs is working beautifully.

I am now looking into the possibility of using this specific setup to play online matches against real opponents on platforms like Lichess (or similar).

  1. Is there a reliable way or an active plugin/fork within the current PicoChess ecosystem to connect directly to Lichess?

  2. If so, how does the system handle the physical move latency (the time it takes to move the opponent's piece on the Revelation) without heavily eating into the clock?

Any insights, documentation, or advice on how to get this working would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Hello.
In Pico v4 I have not tried to port the lichess connection. The main reason is that there is now a great web plugin that can do that. See this post: https://groups.google.com/g/picochess/c/gOq7EmYHVuA/m/g0KkNzJBAQAJ

Its not impossible that I would build a lichess connection into V4, but not at the moment.
