Hi,

ok, I'll do the hard way; I would like to have the v0.31 image on my Rikomagic MK802!

Here my first two questions:

- Is it better to perform the image on a Linux based pc or is this not relevant as Python also runs on Windows?

- I already installed Python 3.4 on my Windows system, now the pycrypto package installation is the next step - is this what I have to do in the cmd mode of Windows?: "The modules are packaged using the Distutils, so you can simply run “python setup.py build” to build the package, and “python setup.py install” to install it."

Thanks, Michael

You will need to do all the python stuff directly on the rikomagic. I use 'pip' to install python packages.
Good luck :)

Hi J.-F.,

thanks for this (first ;-)) advice!

Next question: After I did all this until I entered 'python3 picochess.py' on my Rikomagic MK802 and all works fine, how do I proceed, means, how do I add the boot sequence and write the image to the sd card? Will this also happen on the MK802?

Thanks, Michael

Hi,

after some thoughts, I think I myself can answer my question ;-) :

I copied a 'Lubuntu-MK802-miniand' image to my sd card and it's working fine on my MK802, a little bit slow, but ok! Now the boot sequence is already on the sd card, otherwise it would not boot, and all what I've to do now is install all packages to run picochess.py on my MK802. After that I've to learn how to make an autostart command for the picochess.py file - I don't know yet how to do this, but possibly you can give me a hint? - and finally that's all...

Am I right?

Regards, Michael

Hi J.-F.,

I installed everything on my MK802 - after running picochess with the 'python3 picochess.py' command I got the message

File "/home/miniand/picochess/dgt.py, line 32, in <module>
import asyncio
ImportError: No module named asyncio

It seems, a module is missing - do you have a glue what happened?

Another question: What does
  1. Checkout the stable branch (needed to enable auto-updates):
git checkout stable
mean in the manual installation instruction?

You need to have python 3.4 to have to asyncio module ; you have to upgrade the python interpreter on your MK802 :)

Hi,

it is really difficult for me to find the command for the upgrade procedure of Python 3.2 to 3.4 - do you have a hint for me which command to enter? I already downloaded the complete files for Python 3.4....
