I have updated my Bullseye 32-bit images. Just a few bug fixes mainly concerning MAME. The links are the same as before:

Lite (3.9 GB)

Desktop (4.8 GB)

Hi Randy,

Is this the latest version for the DGT Pi?

Regards.

Hi Peter,

Those are the latest 32-bit Bullseye images. Check the Bookworm 64-bit PicoChess 3.2 Images [08 Dec 2023] thread or the Legacy 64-bit Bullseye Images [10 Dec 2023] thread as you can now use 64-bit engines on the DGTPi as well. (Desktop images require some modifications to run on the DGTPi, explained in the archive docs).

Hi Randy,

I downloaded the new version of the 32bit app.  I have successfully got wifi connection working but cannot connect to the web server.  I entered the ip for the dgtpi but it does not respond with a web page.  What could be the problem?

As well, I have dowloaded the 64bit Lite version.  Is there any advantage to going to the 64bit version?

Regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

The 64-bit engines will be stronger but otherwise not much difference. I would probably stay with the 32-bit versions if your DGTPi is the stock version with a Pi3b inside.

As for the web server make sure you use http://<ip address> and not https://. If you can use ssh to log into the DGTPi you can look at the log files in /opt/picochess/logs. They might show something wrong. Also, 'systemctl status picochess' is useful to look at. This all assumes the PicoChess is working for you (you can play a game and use the buttons).
