Hi everyone,

With the release of Raspberry Pi OS 'Trixie' I have updated my v3.4 Desktop and Lite images accordingly. There is not much difference with respect to PicoChess so you may not notice any change. However, one improvement is that you no longer need to cycle power on the initial boot of a newly flashed image, at least when using Raspberry Pi Imager to set up wi-fi.

If you see any issues let me know. Reminder that the Lite image is configured and intended for the stock DGTPi.

One thing I forgot to mention is that RealVNC is not installed as Raspberry Pi doesn't currently provide a version for X11 on Trixie. There is an option to install by downloading the .deb file from RealVNC and using 'sudo dpkg -i'. If this is a problem for you, let me know and I'll add it to the next image update.

Here are a couple of tips:

1. Install RealVNC server:

cd ~
wget https://downloads.realvnc.com/download/file/vnc.files/VNC-Server-7.15.0-Linux-ARM64.deb
sudo dpkg -i VNC-Server-7.15.0-Linux-ARM64.deb
sudo raspi-config
....enable VNC under Interface Options/I3 VNC

2. Autohide panel at top:

nano ~/.config/lxpanel-pi/panels/panel
....edit the following 2 lines under Global{} and save:
  autohide=1
  heightwhenhidden=0

Many thanks Randy, I'm downloading right now and will flash within hours.
