Hi all,
I recently ordered a couple of replacement nozzles, and went to install one of them. However, b3 in their wisdom have changed the bore size from 3mm to 4mm without notice. This meant when I torqued the nozzle on with my usual force, it sheared off.
So: Watch out for the new nozzles!
and: Does anybody know the recommended torque for installing the 4mm bore brass nozzles on the Pico?

Cheers,
Nick

Nick,

The nozzle bore has always been 3.9mm, no changes have been made. I just saw your email/support ticket through our website, I apologize but our site is under construction and that email just made it to our attention.

And yes be careful! The 3mm nozzles should never be installed too tight as they have chamfered seating for no leaks.

We will gladly send you a replacement on our behalf for the delay in responding to you. Please email us to our working address: he...@b3innovations.com with your current address and what size nozzle and orifice you would like.

Regards and Happy Holidays!

Mike

Hi,
   Photographic evidence.
New nozzle on left, old ones on the right.
Cheers,

Nick

Nick,

It seems a 1.75mm nozzle got into the mix there. I apologize as that may have been our fault when we fulfilled your order years ago. Please, you have our email address, let us know if we can replace your broken nozzle.

Thank you,
Mike

Hi,
   Thanks for the replacement nozzle.
I finally got the sheared thread out & installed the new large bore nozzle, and the pico is now printing reliably again.
Cheers,
Nick

Hi,
Best print to date. Wish I'd known about the bore before! :)

Cheers,
Nick
